Suffolk County Council is committed to engaging with its citizens, getting closer to communities and improving services. Petitioning is one way that individuals, community groups and organisations can participate in the democratic process, by raising issues of public concern with the Council and allowing Councillors to consider the need for change.
Within this section you can:
- Create petitions
- Sign petitions to agree with them
- Get emails about the outcome of petitions
There are NO AGE RESTRICTIONS for people to organise or sign e-petitions. Each signature, however, must be accompanied by a separate email address as the email address is used as a unique identifier.
If you are already registered to use this system, you can login at the top-left of the page, and you will then be free to create and sign petitions.
Not yet registered?
If you are not yet registered, please click on the 'Register to petition' link below. You don't need to register if you just want to view petitions!
Why do I need to register at all?
Registration is necessary to ensure each signature on a petition can be connected to an individual email address (for 'one person, one vote'), and to ensure that the owner of that email address has given their consent for the address to be used.
All submitted petitions required approval by our Head of Democratic Services, Sue Morgan. If you would like to contact Sue to discuss a petition, please email email@example.com
